Wadajir Awdal Education Project (WAEP) is dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged young people in Awdal region by providing opportunities for a better education and a richer life. The WAEP grew from our desire to give back to the Awdalar people something tangible in gratitude for the deep insights and enormous pleasure their warm hospitality and rich culture has given to us over the years.

WAEP was founded in the belief that as children become empowered to realize their potential they will bloom, and in so doing, bring enrichment to their villages and to the world we share. For the past two years the WAEP has been quietly touching the lives of a growing number young people and their families.

By providing opportunities for education, we are ensuring children the chance of a better tomorrow, while lightening the burdens of today. Because the shilling goes a long way in Awdal, just a few pennies a day enables us to change profoundly the lives of those we serve.

What does it cost to make such a powerful difference in young lives? For the price of just one night at the movies in london, a child's school expenses in Awdal can be covered for a month.
